Totally agree. A language can't compensate against bad programming.

Having said that, once again, Rust appealed to us because it was both compiled, non-GC, and at the same time abstract high-level syntax similar to many modern language. Though we perhaps were primed to try it because of all the initial hype around it. Can't deny it wasn't overrated.
